Wheathill wonders kicked off on Wednesday 4th April at Bar Music Hall, 134 Curtain Street in Shoreditch. The action packed night showcased an eclectic selection of our marvellous musicians, and a generous helping of magic courtesy of the mesmerising Miss Mills.
The evening began with a seven piece explosion of a band erupting into New-Orleans inspired swing and Mardi Gras numbers. The feel good factor continued with DJ Lil Koko spinning rare New Orleans RnB, funk and soul.
Shifting continents to Brazil, the sunshine vibe shone brightly while our bossa nova and samba quartet took the spotlight. They were followed by another belting DJ funk and disco set, enhanced with live improvisation.
More mighty jazzers followed, kicking out a mixture of classic and original swing tunes with a touch of the burlesque. After which, DJ KosmetiQ and Heather lead the bedtime hour spanning a cosmic mix of electro swing, belting beats and high hats.
Supporting M People’s Heather Small, the band took to the stage and stole the show, bewitching their audience with softly seductive songs for Gasprom’s annual industry day.
Moulin Rouge comes to the Crowne Plaza Docklands with high kicks, dazzling costumes and quirky french cabaret. DJ Lisa sizzled in her corset and lace while romantic couples enjoyed an evening of choreographed shows and music.
Wedding in Surat, diamond capital of the world: An overload for the sensory system, DJ Minx and Heather Hoyle were welcomed into the heart of a spectacular Indian wedding. At the culmination of a three-day extravaganza of ceremonies, henna tattoos, street processions and wild dancing they performed a vibrant set of East-meets-West fusion.
Weaving her eclectic musical magic, Tamar plane-hopped with the party goers between Hong Kong and Saigon, noodling ephemerally on sax and flute alongside DJ Ben Zaven Crane.
Heather teamed up with KosmetiQ to write, score and record the soundtrack for the launch of the Clarion Post Hotel in Gothenburg, working with cutting edge, high impact video mapping technology.
Wheathill's finest bands, DJs and soloists descended on gleaming Porsche centres across the country. A highlight on the car loving community's calendar, our glamorous array of polished performers impressed a feeding frenzy of drooling admirers for a succession of events during the two week run-up to Christmas.
The Four Season's festive music program enlisted additional artists beyond the usual resident line up, including a smouldering jazz quartet, DJ and more piano playing vocalists. Their stylish renditions of classic songbook melodies and uplifting party tunes were warmly appreciated by the guests.
The delectable Flying Ties got the party going with their customary exuberance, throwing in a topical selection of speed related songs to their standard mix of hip wiggling crowd pleasers. DJ Minx kept guests and VIPs from the racing circuit, journalists and the Skoda elite, dancing until the the very end, impressive for a Monday night.
Heather Hoyle was invited back to the Abu Dhabi leg of the Grand Prix by popular demand for another consecutive year. She entertained the good, the bad, and the very rich on board gin palaces during what's probably the most opulent fixture on Formula 1's calendar.
